Balmoral is situated about 10km South of Dalhousie

The parish of Balmoral was established from that of Dalhousie in 1876

Balmoral being real close (only a few km ) from the village of Dundee
was the host to Scotish settlers around 1820 and it was then known as Dalhousie2
and that is where it gets its name after the Balmoral Castle of Scotland

About 30 years later the french and acadians came to Balmoral, the first being
Mr. Joseph Drapeau and wife Marguerite Poirier
